I am ecstatic, thrilled, exited and overwhelmed. What more can I describe when I was the LAST lucky person to receive the Barbie of 48 lucky recipients, courtesy of KK Toys.
Hence, this is my second Barbie doll to-date. I received my first set of Barbie wardrobe set when I was 5 (Kindergarten 2) from my dad on behalf of my second position in the class. Among all princess-like dolls, I only keep Barbie. I remembered an aunt who couriered me a girly doll all the way from Australia. Unfortunately, my sister acciedentally knocked ‘her’ head on the floor hence, the pieces of clay came off. Since then, I decided to get rid of it forever, no thanks to Chucky, which reminds me of Dolly whenever I see the ‘wounded’ forehead.
Back to Barbie frenzy, it’s a dividend (how I called it) for me supporting (should I say not stopping? Lol) the boss who’s a huge fan scale modeling and figures collection. His latest loots from KK Toys was the ‘Gloomy’ during his recent visit, there, he was given the annual calendar stating promotions for each month throughout the year on certain specific dates, basically promotions and ‘absolutely free’ giveaways (only for March and July). This Barbie of mine was among their giveaway items in March. But don’t think things comes easy, the moment I reaches, which was only a quarter past 0800, people were queuing up to the corner shop of the block. After me, there were equally as many (or more) people as those who were queuing before me. Some have been waiting as early as 0600, be it mother with kiddos, teenage, not excluding men! *super glad* I think I can dream on getting the Transformer next. Hehehe.
